"Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come." Song of Songs

While I was gone...

Just some pictures today (taken a while back). Winter was giving way to spring and life was showing up everywhere.

Lilacs were blooming...

Bleeding Hearts were dangling from the barrel in the front yard.

Camellias were opening...

English Daises were happily seeking sunshine on the back deck...

I took a pic of my Easter tree before I tossed it out. I cut some branches from the Lilac bush when it only had buds, stuck them down in a vase of water and decorated the branches with eggs and ribbon. The buds opened and leaves emerged. It made a nice centerpiece for my table.

Last year's abandoned bird nest was removed from a wreath hanging on the back deck and put under this cloche. A little touch of Spring inside.

Azaleas were blooming out back...

Tulips were stretching toward he sun...

These are all the flowers that have come and gone while I was taking a break from blogging.
Nature never takes a break, life is always moving forward...season to season...isn't it breath taking?
In awe of it all,
Charlotte

  1. It is breath-taking! I love your wee nest under the cloche and from what I can see, your Easter tree must have looked adorable! All your flowers are lovely as well as your photography. Enjoy the rest of your week, Charlotte. Glad you're back!

  2. Hi Charlotte

    Lovely photos of lovely flowers.

Your red sun-chair is my absolute favourite
as we don't have much sun here in Ireland
and certainly very few chairs like that!
Most are plastic so they won't rot in the rain
    which is plentiful.

    I love those daisies
    and love your post.
