Mother's Day Tea

It's been a while since I've had time to blog. I'll try to visit with you as often as I can and join your tea parties, they are so much fun!

I'm sneaking in a blog post at midnight (couldn't sleep). I wanted to share it with you all so badly. We had a Mother's Day Tea at my church and it turned out lovely! Here are some pictures.

The table above was mine. I hadn't planned on hostessing, but they needed a couple more people...and I love doing it!

The food was scrumpteous...
That might sound like bragging since I made the scones, 112 of them!

They shared the plate with banana muffins.

I must have a sweet tooth because I only got pictures of the first and last courses...the sweet ones!

My Mother came (on the left, me on the right) and I think she had a good time, I know I did!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

  1. It looks like your church put on a grand affair for MD. It's fun to share a special event with others and I'm sure they all enjoyed your scones.

  2. Charlotte, This Mother's Day tea no doubt made many moms feel special! The tables are beautiful. Yours is so elegant, Charlotte. Stunning! The food looks good too.
    Blessings, Beth

I had a delicious lunch with my husband and children (son, daughter, in-laws, grandsons and grandaughter). Some day I will send you a picture.

  6. I loved the idea of having the Tea on Mother's Day. I will have to talk to our pastor and ask him if that would be possible next year.

    Thanks for a terrific idea!
