Tea Time & Tulips

My mind is on love...

that song keeps going through my head,

"What the World needs now is Love, Sweet Love..."

and isn't that true?

Everyone needs to be loved.

While I thought about such things, I decided to have some tea
and sandwiches.

I was feeling pink today...not quite red yet, as I work my way to
Valentine's Day.

I like the pink flowers on this cup with the yellow background.

My garden roses are not in bloom and the market had no pink roses, so I gave the yellow tulips a home. They've joined me for tea.

They seem happy to be here.

With my tea I enjoyed some cucumber/cream cheese sandwiches and banana bread...and quiet time while my grandson (age 22 mos.) napped.

He is not interested in teacups or tea sandwiches quite yet.

Thank you for joining me for tea!

  5. Hi Charlotte,
I love tulips in any colour. They're so fresh and always bring a touch of springtime to a room.
I quite agree with you too about the world needing love. "...That's the only thing that there's just too little of!"
Your cucumber and cream sandwich has me craving one now and that's a pretty teacup.
Thank you for joining me for tea today and enjoy that little grandbaby of yours. Such a sweet age!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  11. Oh that is a lovely pink tea cup! The roses are gorgeous on it and it looks like it is a good one to hold in the hand. Your yellow tulips are so pretty and remind me of spring. My daffodils bloomed last week, and have drooped a bit as we had some really cold nights. It is cheery to see them so early.
    Hugs,
    Terri
