Kept Busy By Sugarbugs...

Sadly I am not sharing a Christmas post today. All my decorations are still boxed up and waiting in the attic right where I put them last January. I'm anxious to get started decorating for Christmas...and perhaps I will right after I post this.

I've been busy with grandchildren the last few days but now the little sugarbugs have gone home. They are so much fun while they are here, but while they are, my "to do" list has only one word on it - them! So, after a few deep breaths...and maybe a nap, I will brave the trip up the attic stairs and hunt for boxes marked "Christmas."

In the mean time, I am sharing with you a another cup given to me by the same dear friend that gave me the one I shared last week. I know what you are thinking, "What a good friend!" And you are right. Not just because she gives me gifts like tea cups, but because she is a true friend who also gives of herself in many ways. She is a very wise lady and I am hoping to learn from her how I can be wise too. I consider her a friend and a mentor. A Heart Friend.

"A friend loves at all times."
Proverbs 17:17

Once again, my camera didn't like the indoor lighting. It behaves a lot like me, I'd much rather be outside in the sunshine...but today it was too cold!

If you possess even one nugget
of the real thing, you are rich." ~ Emilie Barnes

I like the pastel colors and the speckles of gold around the rim, base and handle.

That is all I have to share with you this week. I'm looking forward to visiting again when my blog is in the Christmas spirit. Until then, keep Christmas in your heart, where it should always be...because that's where Jesus is...and He is Christmas.

Have a wonderful week!

I shared one of these plates before and
thought I would show you the whole set.

I picked them up at a second hand store.
They remind me of harvest time when all the fruit
is ready to be picked from the trees.

As Thanksgiving turns my thoughts to blessings in life,
these plates remind me of the blessings of harvest.
I am thankful for the abundance of fruit I have to choose from here
in my home town, in the state of California.

Isn't God good to give us so many varieties?

He also gives us another kind of fruit. The fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;
against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

(These are fruits that are also harvested, but instead of placing them
in a bowl on the table, they are lived out in a life.)

And of course the nicest thing about these plates
is that they can be filled with sweets to share with friends!

Here I have some Pecan Sandies
sprinkled with powdered sugar.

I also want to show you this lovely teacup given to me by a dear friend.
She picked it up at an estate sale.

It was hard capturing the art work on this cup
because of the light in the room. It is much prettier than my camera shows.
There are dots of gold in between the flowers and around the edges.

I like the little green feet and handle.

I'm thankful for so many things...I have a very long list.
At the top of that list are my family and friends.
Without these people in my life, all the blessings in the world wouldn't fill
the emptiness of a life without them.

Isn't God good to give us others to share our blessings with!!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day
that spills into each day of the year ahead.

As your cup overflows with goodness from above.

Count your many blessings, see what God has done."

A Little Time Away

It's been a while since I've been here
And though I hold you all so dear

I've needed a little time to rest
From writing posts and having guest

Please know you are important to me
I'll be back soon and we'll have tea
